Scott Christian. At the time, Lt. Christian was known for his love of cycling along the Trinity Trails. He wanted share this passion with the public he served. Through the combined efforts of his friends and family, Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office, Northwest YMCA, and Tarrant Regional Water District, Lt. Christian successfully established what is now known as the Marine Creek Health & Safety Fair.

The event has since grown into a premier family outing where community vendors converge at the Marine Creek YMCA Fields to share their knowledge and resources. Families will be able to take advantage of on-site checkups, professional advice and plenty of health-conscious activities designed to improve their health. Several public service vehicles will be on display, free food, live entertainment, and a 1k Hero Dash among many other surprises. To round out the entire event, several bikes and helmets will be raffled off to children in honor of Lt. Christian’s favorite hobby.

This April 14 marks the 10th annual Marine Creek Health & Safety Fair. Come share in the celebration of a happier, active life for all North Texans both big and small on April 14 from 10am to 1pm. Follow the event on Facebook or call the Northwest YMCA at 817-237-737 to request more information.

As the spring season kicks into gear, TRWD invites you to follow Lt. Scott Christian’s legacy and experience more than 70 miles of bike friendly trails along the Trinity River.[/fusion_text][/fullwidth]
